The Vizsla is
also called the Hungarian Pointer. At the end of World War I, the Vizsla
was all but extinct. The importation of the breed into the United
States began in the 1950s. The breed was admitted into the American
Kennel Club in 1960.
The 2008 CVC Fun Day was held Sunday
July 20, 2008 at the Landon C. Burns Park grounds adjacent to the Carroll County Farm Museum
in Westminster, MD.
The Club made full use of the large pavilion and grounds by the
fishing
pond. The dogs especially enjoyed being allowed in the water!
The ample shade trees and steady breeze made the warm July
temperature barely noticeable.
Congratulations and thanks
to Deb Titus as Chairman of this year's Fun Day Committee for arranging
such a nice event. Special thanks go also to club members Dave Hammett,
Terry Lucas, Anita Greenstone, Bob Seelye, Rich Black, Susan Della
Penta and Greg Cooke for working so hard to make the event a success.
